Would it be unethical or rude if I walked up and down our streets with my lawnmower and just began mowing peoples lawns that needed it? Some yards are so unmanicured that it is very depressing knowing this is my neighborhood. I am lucky that my neighbors keep up with their yards and that they have nice green grass and well taken care of plants and flowers. Since the HOA only checks once a month, we need to step up and do our part. Anyone interested in having a "Clean up Huttoparke" day where residents mow their grass, pick up any trash around, whether it be in the ditches or in their own yards, throw away or donate any used stuff they just have hanging around? Basically just picking up their property and helping out in other parts of the community. I know it would be a huge task but if we all got together and planned something, we may at least get Huttoparke to look respectable again, for at least a week or so. I think if we would all pull together, we could make it happen. Maybe some Saturday morning, get some people from outside Huttoparke to help or donate something. Just an idea, if it is totally out of the realm of it happening, just let me know.

Welcome to the forum. I think that would be a great idea. I will personally contribute by mowing my neighbors yard. They moved out (or abandoned) their home and the HOA is the only one who is mawing their yard. It is needed and I am sure they would'nt mind reducing that service our of our HOA reserve. What day would you like to plan this for? We can put flyers up at the mail boxes.

Probably closer to the end of May or beginning of June. We just need to get as many people interested as possible in order for it to be successful. Only a handful of people will not be worth it. What would be a good way to generate interest and then get confirmation of how many people would be interested? I have been in contact with the HOA the last week or two and am not happy with their answers so we need to take things into our own hands.
