1st Home (the builder) discussion
The new builders in our neighborhood have base housing starting at 1000 square feet. Let's hope they don't try and put those in our neighborhood.
Per the HOA bylaws "Each single family residence constructed on a Lot shall contain not less than one thousand two hundred (1200) square feet of enclosed living space, exclusive of porches and patios (open or covered), decks and garages."
Of course within the bylaws it states that as long as the builder owns one lot they can makes any changes or amendments to the bylaws they want and do not have to inform the community. So if Lennar has given the HOA to these people, a simple amendment filed can basically wipe any security left in our bylaws away (which is not much at all). Thanks Lennar!!! You donkies are the best!!! (insert sarcasm here)

On a side note it looks as though they are just skirting by the HOA minimum requirements for square footage for our community as listed on 1sthomes website.
