Gas prices suck. Pure and simple. When the hell are we going to rid this country of its dependence of foreign oil? Drill in Alaska. Drill off the Gulf coast. I don’t care just get control of it for god sake. I’ve provided a link so you know where to go for the lowest of the high gas prices.

Shouldn’t we all say it’s time this country take control and eliminate our dependency of foreign oil all together! I say Roll out some affordable Green Cars! It’s proven hydrogen fuel is much cleaner and gets higher mileage than gasoline or diesel.

What’s the problem?? First getting the hydrogen is a problem. Very few filling stations exist today. California has the most at 13 pilot stations run by utilities and carmakers, and plans some 170 commercial ones by 2010. Come on, it time all the States follow their example.

Second, is the cost varies from $1 to $20 a kilo. A gallon of gasoline has the same energy content as a kilo of hydrogen, but vehicles using the latter get two to three times higher mileage. They say the tank itself is one of the expensive pieces. Supposedly each tank costs $4,000 to build, and another $1,000 for a special fuel shutoff valve.

Third, is the price tag on the green cars. Ford is planning a line of hydrogen SUVs, vans, and trucks however the cost will range from 30,000.00 to 80,000.00. Other manufacturers range from 60,000.00 to 149, 000. Who the hell can afford that?

Greed for that almighty dollar is bringing down the country. Let’s start mass-producing hydrogen at competitive prices and adding hydrogen pumps to existing gas station. Mass production on the cars would drive the price down significantly. Isn’t it time to stamp it once again with “Made in America” instead of “Made in China”?

It’s time big brother and all the corporations to suck it up and bring down the cost. We all know it can be done cheaper. It’s a small price to pay to give America back its freedom!!!
