Bayview Hunters Point community continues to take on Lennar - a Rogue Developer.

The Bayview Hunters Point community continues to meet every Thursday at the Grace Tabernacle Community Church - in the Bayview Hunters Point area to address health and safety issues that adversely impact the community at large.
Lennar the Rogue Developer has been coming under fire all over the Nation. The recent economic crisis has hit Lennar and there have been a number of law suits filed against Lennar in the pipe line that will drag this very corrupt corruption in the cesspool of its making.
Recent the community in the Bayview Hunters Point won a hearing before the Ninth Circuit Appeals Court. We hope that before soon - Lennar is brought before the law and adjudicated - as having adversely impacted our children, our elders, and the community at large:

We continue to meet in Sacramento the capital of California every two months when called upon by the Caravan of Justice. Inspired by our Town Hall meeting held in San Francisco every Thursday in the Bayview Hunters Point. Nine other cities hold similar Town Hall meetings. We attend each others Town Hall meeting and build solidarity.

This time we are going to gather in Sacramento on May 26, 2009 at noon. After the speech making by various leaders - we divide ourselves in groups and go and visit our Legislators. What really makes a difference is that the Legislators pay attention to the numbers. No one wants to mess with thousands of people gathered in one place - with pertinent issues to address and more to find solutions.
We consider it important to be educated on issues - and the people being empowered to speak up for themselves. Our leaders are astute but we take pride in educating the many constituents on issues that the common hard working person faces - every single day.
Lennar has gone before the State of California (that is broke) to get some money for their development on Parcel A - that is adjacent and part of Hunters Point Naval Shipyard.
This is the third time Lennar has gone begging for some $14 million dollars to the State of California. We e-blasted the California Housing Department, faxed, called in and have slowed down the process.
Lennar is a very corrupt entity with strong ties to Nancy Pelosi the present Speaker of the House that we hear was involved in some scheme with Representative Murtha - this corruption will be revealed to the public - very soon.
Right now the Republicans are having a hey day with Nancy Pelosi - on another issue and her lying about what she knew about the torture of our prisoners. We have known for a long time that Nancy Pelosi cannot be trusted but now most everyone is calling her a liar and she happens to be the Speaker of the House? Speaks a lot to the caliber of some of our key Representatives in Congress and the White House.
The Bayview Hunters Point community commends the rest of you for standing up for your rights. United we cannot be defeated. So far we have made much progress - exposing Lennar the most corrupt developer in the Nation.
