All of us have been affected by this Rogue Developer Lennar that has with INTENT caused havoc in our lives.
We in San Francisco were adversely impacted when large scale grading was done in our neighborhood - at Bayview Hunters Point.
There is a rock called Serpentine Rock - when crushed this rock releases ASBESTOS structures.
One way to contain the release of these dangerous structures and its containment to a particular area - pouring millions of gallons of water.
Well, as you might aspect Lennar did not do this.
The result thousands of children and elders were adversely affected. Sore throats, bloody noses, prolonged headaches, chest congestion, heart problems and so on and so forth.
Added to the Asbestos Dust - radiological elements and plain dust which in itself can cause health problems. Hunters Point Naval Shipyard - was where Depleted Uranium was first tested:

The San Francisco Coroner's Office has not been forth coming with any investigation and is not releasing any data - linked to premature deaths and so on.
The San Francisco Health Department and one Dr. Mitch Katz and one Dr. Rajiv Bhatia - have encouraged Lennar to carry on their dubious activities. The reason is simple they are on the take.
In California there was a project in El Dorado that encountered similar issues but on a smaller scale. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - stepped in and took Lennar to task.
In our case the Regulatory Agencies - and that includes the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) the lead agency that regulates the air quality. The EPA has been slow to study the issues and take Lennar to task.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) did fine Lennar after - we the people - attended meetings
at the BAAQMD - many times.
The BAAQMD fined Lennar $515,000 - a measly amount. The actual fine for the over 380 Notices of Violation - should have garnered a fine of over $38 million.
So much for justice.
We have gone before the San Francisco Board of Supervisor with some results. Most of the SF Board of Supervisors have been bought by Lenanr. In other words - bribed.
Last October 31, 2008 we gathered in number and a vote was taken. We lost 5 Supervisors voted for us and 6 against us.
Some new SF Board of Supervisor were elected in November, 2009 - and some them are for the community. We have not tested them - yet.
We are calling for a hearing to test the waters. The main agenda item will be like the last time - stop the on going work at Parcel A at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard until the Regulatory have tested the soil, the air, the people - and exercise their good judgment.
The City and County of San Francisco has the Precautionary Principle on its books.
The Precautionary Principle - states that if there is a doubt and any life is adversely impacted - work must stop and due diligence - done. The reason does not have to be scientific.
The Precautionary Principle has been embraced in Europe with much success. Here in the United States - we seem to be asleep at the steering wheel.
Well, the above explanation brings me to the topic at hand.
We now are going to Sacramento every month. As I said the Caravan for Justice - is to show case our concerns.
The last time around we did very well.
We must stand united with those adversely affected - all victims from the dubious ploy and machination - that Lennar is so famous for.
