Here are just a few stories and or photos, from those that have been through this drywall repair process or other repairs. These homes are just a few that have been documented as being repaired or having problems. The total home count reported to Channel 8 news on 9/25/2007 was 100 homes for drywall repair. I wonder how many more were not counted for other issues like driveway or re-grading repairs.

This section will populate on a fluctuating basis as we are contacted and we have time to update. To date 9/28/2007 Lennar has admitted to repairing over 100 homes in our neighborhood alone, and many being just months into their 1 year warranty.

My Home is brand new why must I be moved out and be displaced from my home??

These repairs are not your typical broken towel rod in the bath room or one door being crooked. Imagine having your entire ceiling drywall ripped out allowing all the blown in insulation to fall into your home from the attic.

You and your family are completely displaced from your new home for a minimum of two weeks into a bottom of the line motel during which the movers damage and lose your property. Your pets are placed in a board where they will be stranded until Lennar is through with repairs that are completed on a consistantly late schedule.

During repairs strangers will be using your power and resources in an attempt to fix your house which has previously shown to only be temporary in many instances.

One of Lennars managers Greg Barber, offered us $15 a day for food reimbursement and paying for our stay at the local low grade motel. In my opinion this is all they will offer you unless you demand that it is outrageous and insulting. For my two oldest daughters food reimbursement would not even cover a Happy meal cheeseburger which cost $2.50 + tax x 2 (one for each) for breakfast lunch and dinner = $16.24 What about my wife, my 8 month old daughter, or myself? Since the beginning of this website and our cummunity coming together to fight this corporate giant I can acknowledge that they are paying more but still are not addressing the loss of property value once these repairs are made to your home. In my opinion there is no reimbursement for stress, value loss, or the fact that your home is brand new and you have to move yet again.

(Picture your very own house being demolished from the inside for a temporary fix.)

I can assure you when I bought our home brand new home that I did not invest my money into a repaired home. Who loses here? The consumers. Is the actual problem being fixed? No. Lennar does not want to acknowledge the real problem but only the cosmetic bi-product stemming from the beginning of a very long and costly battle.
