Lennar loses a sale thanks, in part, to this Huttoparke website.....

I was blind copied on this email Tuesday evening. I ask for and received permission to post it here as long I did not make the writers email address public. I don’t have to say anything, the email speaks volumes. The emphasis on Lennar is mine. The email was addressed to Greg McGuff and Jeff Roos, two of the many presidents that Lennar employs. Sometimes I think they hand the title out like “Shift Manager” at Taco Bell.

Below the first email you will find my exchange with Mr. Mackenzie.
Mr. McGuff,
Please forgive this unsolicited email but I just feel compelled to comment on what we saw and have learned this past weekend.
We went to your Lake Elsinore development this past Sunday at around noontime. We had been in and toured the homes the previously and were making a second trip to confirm our tentative decision. There was a man outside with a sign that read www.lennarhomessuck.net. This is where I retrieved your email address.
My wife and I were taken aback by this. We drove past and did not go back in. We decided to check out the website and we followed the links to other websites, postings and newspaper articles. We were surprised.
At first we were of a mind to dismiss this gentleman as a disgruntled customer, every business has them. But after reading his site and the others we have decided not to purchase with you. There is simply too much to question. We really liked the extras that Lennar offers as standard items. However we can’t in good conscience ignore the wealth of information that we found on the web. There are two sides to every story and I am sure that Lennar’s side is much different than what we found but in our experience where there is this much smoke, there is fire.
We checked other builders in the area and there is not nearly the same amount of negative information available. It is regrettable, we liked the your home over all the others.
