I worked for Lennar Homes for 3 years, and I can state with no hesitation that the company has NO moral fiber. Starting with its President Miller and down the list of deceitful, dishonest, and just plain mean regional officers, the company will ALWAYS say one thing and do another. I witnessed case after case of the company promising to make good on promises or repairs only to have those promises go unfulfilled. Time will tell, and sooner or later, this company will disappear in its own filth.

Am subcontractor in San Antonio for Lennar. They've decided not to pay all Texas subcontractors for the next two weeks to "pad" their quarterly numbers. We are a small firm with 3 employees and they're our main source of income. This choice of theirs will most likely be our downfall.

As a former associate I feel the same way about a dishonest and un-ethical company as everyone else and would love to move on and never think of them again. Unfortuanetly I have been in a continued lawsuit (which is available on the county website) with the company for the past year and a half over an unpaid bonus from 2007 which they have refused to pay, although I have the paperwork from the company which states they should have paid. If any one is in a similiar situation or has questions please contact me at brian.faber@hotmail.com.

No Integrity At Lennar

As a current Lennar associate I am ashamed I have been associated with this company for 10 years. Lennar's senior management are nothing but coniving backstabbers. They use their associates to get what they need for the company and then kick them to the curb. There have been thousands of great associates who have performed their jobs exceptionally, just to be screwed by Lennar. They don't pay bonuses associates earn, unless you are senior management. Many associates have been asked to take tremendous pay cuts of 20-40% just to be laid off later.
I have worked at a high management level and been in numerous meetings with Stuart Miller and Jon Jaffe. These guys don't care about anything but their own personal pocket books. "Lennar Cares" my ass! I have heard Stuart Miller say, "I am proud of the human carnage in my wake". Does this sound like a caring individual? Jon Jaffe is a ball-less "leader". He uses everyone around him against one another and then fires them. He cannot make an executive decision to save his life. He runs everyone around him off because of his own inabilty to manage. Now we have a bunch of puppets and yes men as Regional Presidents and below. If anyone says what really needs to be said they are fired. This kind of culture will only lead to failure as no one will say what needs to be said.
As a shareholder or potential homebuyer you should be concerned and avoid Lennar. The company has lost its credibility with it associates and business partners. Many good associates who remain at Lennar are only there because there are no other jobs at the present time, which is my case. People will be leaving in droves when the economy recovers.
Lennar cannot decide which way is up. "Even Flow", "Logic Lab", "National Item Master".....its all a joke. We cannot start and finish anything. We are THE model for inefficiency. Yes Lennar has "Everything Included".....first and foremost the Astroglide!

I have an e-mail that was sent by Stuart Miller saying that he will fire employees at Christmastime and not pay them their bonuses. You are so right. All Lennar cares about is their pockets. Never mind that we have spent our retirement savings to purchase what we thought would be our final home. We can't re-finance it, modify the mortgage or sell it because of all the defects. We have a court date with Lennar in January of 2011...In the meantime, I will be "Out There" finding more unhappy homeowners who are experiencing
the Lennar Lies. Contact me @ luv2bnok@yahoo.com and come to a meeting at my home on September 8th to meet with and join other unhappy Lennar Homeowners. Your Post was Great!!!

I worked in lennar for 4 years in a high management position, direct relationship with Gross, Bessette, Miller, Jaffe and all those guys who love to brag about how many millions they make during the year. I resigned as this company has the unique ability to make you lose your moral standards, ethic behavior and focuses on making money for Miller and his "team". This guy can have all the money in the world, but his life is a sad, sad picture, guess he deserves it.

This company is such a heartless piece of crap! What happened to the "I Care" attitude? Certainly does not pertain to their associates! This company started the downward spiral after Leonard Miller died! Out went the culture and everyhting else the company stood for! I worked my tail off for this company and for what? To be laid off! I understand Stuart had to take a "pay cut" and only took 1.1 million last year. Poor thing! How will he ever survive on that? Will that even pay his taxes for his star island home? Perhaps he could take out a loan from one of the neighbors like Gloria Estefan or perhaps Madonna. Look it up, go to the Dade county property appraiser web site. As far as Lennar, I do not see this company making it another year!

DON"T DO IT!!! They are shady, shady, shady! Everything looks great on the outside but if things go wrong (and something always goes wrong in new construction), they will screw you over and won't think twice about it. Don't get tempted...go down the street to another builder or better yet, take an existing/already lived in home off the over-saturated market and do yourself and the country a favor. Builders should not be building, their greed contributed to the mess we are in and Lennar was the one leading the pack!

They make them work for free becuase they know they will not put a lein on their home or get a lawyer so most of their homes half of them dont pay to full price to get that home built. So they use the small spanish speaking only vendors to work and at the end they dont pay them .

I'm so glad to be free of that fascist organization. The money we made is very enticing, I admit, but what I had seen during my two years with the organization made me just want to puke. After working in one of Lennar's 'problem communities' in the North, I have learned that Lennar is all about upper management. They could care less about the consumers shelling out their hard earned money for the garbage they build.
One of the things I definitely will not miss is the constant back-stabbing by upper management. When we'd call with a major home issue or problem, a lot of times we would be told to tell the homeowner 'No', we won't fix it. Then, when the issue became a complaint, management went to visit the homeowner peronally. I don't know how many times I have been demeaned in front of the homeowner by upper management after being told by that very same manager to, basically, tell the homeowner to piss-off in the first place.
I'm grateful to be out of the organization, but still feel very bad for the homeowners who got duped by Lennars bragging and trickery.

I read your entry and felt like I was reading a page of my first week at Lennar! I was put in a "problem" community, on my own, to clean it up. I had not been in the industry for a few years so I was a bit rusty.
Basically, every repair that needed to be completed was shot down by my boss. I would have to go back to the homeowner and tell them no, which would prompt them to call my boss. Next thing I knew, she would be out there, and I would get a call to schedule the work to be done! So the homeowners always thought it was my fault, and she was a saint!
God how I hated this company, and unfortunetly, I injured myself on the job and still have to deal with them. 3 years later, Im still fighting with them about this.
As much as I wish them bankruptcy, I want my problem to end first!
It will be the greatest feeling in the world to be rid of them!

We have been working for Lennar as a sub-contractor since 2004 in the Dallas area. In the past year we started having most of the problems you are describing on this site about subs, from extortion, invoices not being paid, threatened if we did not drop our price below any possibility of making a profit we would be replaced. Promises of production estimates that never materialized, threats from Lennar’s attorneys if we file liens they would deal with us costing us money and would be drug out over years. Basically, Lennar has more money than we do. We are a WBE business and like you we will not be bullied by Lennar.

I have read all of the other comments made by ex-associates, and feel the exact same way and am very saddened that I wasted 5 years of my life with this "careless" company. The management is a joke, and they will never leave. The lay-offs, I understand are necessary with the market in shambles, but not the way they did it. I had been abused by an associate for 4.5 years of my time with Lennar, made several complaints, and they never did anything about it. They claim to be such a family oriented company - BOLOGNA!!! They have laid off good associates, and kept some of the worst! HR is an absolute JOKE!!! You can never get proper responses, and if you do, it is almost a recorded message or a script they read from. I have seen the quality of our homes go down over the past 4 years and it is very sad to know that this crap has been passed onto unsuspecting homeowners. Everything you read on the other comments of other associates is absolutely true. I am sad, but so grateful that I am no longer under their thumb anymore and can get back to working at hopefully a GOOD company. Lennar deserves to go under - let's keep our fingers crossed.

Worked for this company in the title department and corporate has no idea what goes on at the branch level. Upper management rarely says "thank you" to associates who work their butts off until all hours of the morning. We were directed to close on homes anytime, anywhere, and there was no concern for safety. We would get customers out of bed at 1 a.m., 2 a.m. and even 6 a.m. to close on their loan.
The company made billons of dollars and associates were given bonuses at Christmas of about $225.00 before taxes. No Christmas parties were allowed; you can't take off at the end of the month; family life was down the toilet; and they lay you off before the holidays because their fiscal year ends on November 30th so they let you go the first week in December.
Corporate management uses associates at the branch level for personal favors on company time. It doesn't matter that we're trying to get work done! The Human Resources manager is best friends with the Division President and vacation together - isn't there something wrong? She is ineffective when it comes to problem solving because she can't be impartial.
There's certainly no loyalty extended to employees who sacrificed time and family to make the company profitable. Stuart Miller and all his other cronies should take a long look and restructure the organization to exclude some of the people who are with corporate. There's one Manager who drinks while driving from branch office to branch office (has a flask under his seat I hear), and smells of liquor. Nice person but is a functioning alcoholic.
The corporate officers at Lennar, North American Title Company and Universal American Mortgage need to recognize the workers who contribute so much at the branches.

I worked as a New Home Sales Consultant for Lennar and made good money. I was treated terribly. They manage by intimidation. There are management opportunities if you are male. I was a top producer and got no respect. They force you to work 6 days a week and won't allow you to take vacation time. Phone calls are monitored and you are expected to send reports all the time to management. The benefits were good, but after 5 years, I couldn't stand the abuse.

I have been in the business for many years. Lennar is by far the best of the homebuilders I have worked for (Pulte, David Weekly). The building standards are never compromised & they treat you fairly. Have they laid off a lot of people, yes what homebuilder hasn’t in this environment. When the market turns Lennar is primed to return to the #1 builder in the nation!

http://www.searchhutto.com/LD/node/302 Apparently they do compromise their standards. They built on highly expansive soil, lied on the contracts (Hud forms) about the soil not only to the government but also to the prospective home buyers and also built directly on top of a compromised piece of land that recently had become a brownsfield (former toxic site for high levels of arsenic). Read about it here http://www.searchhutto.com/LD/HuttoParke-Arsenic Lets face it, their structures are compromised as well as their integrity. Would you like to see pictures of my home? My drive way cracked completely in half after the first six weeks of living here. That is just one of a very very long list of problems I have had. Has anything on my one year inspection been worked on? NO, not a single thing. Lets take the blinders off and realize they are being or have been sued in every single state they have built in. Facts are facts and opinions are just that, Opinions.

We came into work one day and the atmosphere just felt weird. I was on the phone with my husband telling him that I have a feeling that there might be more layoffs, well as soon as I said that I was called into a meeting by the Regional VP and HR to tell me that I was getting let go because our Regional office was going to close down, meaning all my fellow Regional associates were going to be let go too.
I worked with some nice people and some not so nice people. There were so many people who just sat on their behinds and still got paid. I know one woman went to six funerals in six weeks and it was always an excuse as to why she can't finish her work. While there were others who actually worked but did not get the recognition and appreciation. I guess it pays to suck up because that woman did not get laid off. I really liked working here but with the termination of our regional office, that dream was over.

San Francisco 06/16/2008: I work at the Lennar Urban office. The comments I've read pretty much mirror a lot of what goes on here. We had lay offs in November also, right before the holidays, great timing. Those of us left still have the same projects to move forward, with a lot less staff and there's no help in sight. There's a handful of the staff in this office that do very little work and lack some very basic training. The office manager takes two hour lunches, countless "smoke breaks", abuses the staff, and is excellent friends with the HR manager therefore any complaints about her just disappear and nothing is done about it. The worst part is that the ofc mgr has harassed and bullied a lot of staff, many who moved on because of her. Our health benefits were lowered in 2008, and last year no bonuses were given, no performance evaluations, even though they are supposed to be annual, and not even a cost of living increase.

Phoenix 08/04/2008: I worked for Lennar after it took over our company, US Home. They touted this silly Cat in the Hat style atmosphere that covered a back stabbing policy. Our division president took off soon after- I was his administrative assistant and I was left in the air. The new division pres was a terrible man who spoke from both sides of his mouth, wouldn't give definate details about anything (esp my job). The only good thing that came from this take over was that it pushed me to get back into the teaching field. I heard a year later that the office staff (mostly women) with certain salary scales were let go with out much explinations. There was no respect for each other after Lennar came into that office. I am glad I got out before I was cut out. After working for the public school system for a while, I did realize that the health benifits were better, but that was not a reason to stay!!

I am very happy to see the work you are doing. Do not give in to their demands. As a former employee with a conscience, I fought the system and lost, big. I am still fighting the remains of my legal battle with Lennar to this day. They have cost me tens of thousands in legal costs and have yet to answer to anyone for their illegal practices.
Most of what I see on the Internet in relation to the deceptive practices of Lennar applies to the consumer or those that have had the misfortune of dealing with them in a vendor capacity. Let me tell you, as a former Lennar and UAMC employee, the manner in which they treat and deceive the public is equaled by the deception to their employees.
I was hired and lured into a position at UAMC, causing me to leave my previous position. The position I was hired for, I was soon to find out, was due to be eliminated. Lennar had held meetings several weeks prior to my starting date, in which the entire division was to be eliminated. Why then did they hire me? It was soon discovered that with the scheduled restructuring, several persons holding management positions were planning their exit. Unbeknownst to be, the person who hired me and who was to be my immediate boss, had already tendered his resignation. In doing so, he felt a sense of loyalty to his staff, of which I was now responsible. Not only did Lennar lie to me about the position, they lied to me about my compensation and the state of the Corporation. I was later to discover the person who so desperately wanted me on board, had falsified my income documents to streamline me through the hiring process. When the reality of the situation became evident to me, I tried and should have quit. I was repeatedly told to hand in there and persuaded to stay with a promise that they would make good on my hiring and anticipated promotion. I got sucked in and involved with the employees I managed. I watched them struggle to meet ridiculous quotas. I watched helplessly as employees of another division came to me crying about being forced to commit acts they knew were wrong. With more then 20 years in the industry, I complained endlessly to the corporate office and their quota obsessed Regionals that the standards by which the office operated were not only below par, but were violations of the law. Just little things like consumer files not being secured and altering P&Ls. When I arrived the number of file cabinets was so insufficient that nearly half of consumer files sat on desks, on chairs, on top of cabinets and even the floor of the front receptionist area. The few cabinets that were there did not have locks or the keys were missing. On more then one occasion a consumer's file became lost. Perhaps it made it's way to the trash or was accidentally picked up by any number of people that freely moved through the office. It took more then three months to get locks and even then the matter of limited and proper storage was still not
addressed. On the final day of a terminated employee, her files were placed outside on the curb, were they sat for two days. Unfortunately for many consumers she had worked with, their personal information was also within those boxes.
After nearly a year, my division, including myself was laid off. Months later, like so many grieved employees before me, I sued Lennar. During the period of discovery, I sat and watched as the Lennar attorneys worked their lies and threats on former and current employees. Suddenly, memories were lost and details forgotten. I sat and watched a good and consensus employee reduced to tears as she struggled between the truth she was sworn to tell and the heavy threats placed upon her.
These are truly evil people. Before and after being hired, I was often told about the Lennar "WOW". I always thought they were a little strange. Basically, you have educated and professional people getting together once a week for an adult pep rally of sorts. But they carry it to extremes. Is this brain washing? Who knows? We used to joke about not drinking the punch, But I do know that for the persons I encountered within Lennar, they put the Corporate's interests above the the law and ethical standards
My lawsuit with Lennar came to an abrupt and typical Lennar end. We agreed to settle, I signed, they did not. The case was shortly thereafter dismissed. Once again, Lennar played by their rules.
I wish Lennar a swift trip to bankruptcy and their deceitful unethical employees straight to the unemployment line. Unfortunately, those guilty will get out in time, leaving the stockholders holding the bag. Any corporation that puts it's profits above all else, above what is right and above what is just cannot survive long in dealing with the public. You can only take every advantage of people for so long before the word is finally and firmly out. Lennar cannot be trusted on any level. To do any business with Lennar is putting yourself and your family at risk. Don't do it.

As a former employee of Lennar Homes (I was "laid off") late Oct 06. I'm still in touch with friends that still work for Lennar Homes. The latest botched hiring just took place and it seems that the new Director of Customer Care has a very colorfull past. Go on Goggle.com and type Michael Aladich residing in NJ. This is the quality of person that upholds a high paying position. Working for Kara homes has its plus' (he's a former employee of Kara). This is no longer Lennar but becoming a new Kara company. Just in the division I worked in, there have been 40 or more lay offs in the past year. Most of the former US Home employees are gone and not by choice. Every Kara associate that has been hired in the last year is still employed by Lennar Homes. Lennar Homes is a ruthless company to work for. Uncaring what they have done to dedicated associates, some worked there 35 years and were not of retirement age, we are concerned that this division is now KARA.

I wish to be anonymous---if you reprint this, please do not use my name or email. **************************** Do not seek a career with Lennar Homes. This is not a company that any one of good character want to work for. I did not know any better---I went to work there--this was a big mistake! The Lee/Collier/Sarasota/Orlando/Clermont division is top heavy with managers who have few if any credentials. To succeed in the organization, one has to be related to or be friends with one of these managers. I would characterize all managers there, mid level and above as down right evil. Now that the market has turned lousy (2005-2006) they have become micro-managers and breathe down the necks of the sales force. They threaten their people with directions like: "write a sale this weekend---or else!" They hold morning teleconference meetings with the sales people every day! In these conversations, they badger everyone on the phone to identify where the next sale is going to come from. One evening every week, they herd the sales force into a boiler room and look over their shoulders while the sales reps make telemarketing calls to every person who ever visited a model center--and they do this at dinner time! Needless to say, everyone who works there hates it. I would tell anyone and everyone who is considering working for Lennar to not do so! New Home Consultants are directed to do things that are unlawful. I cannot elaborate on this here, but it is true. Is it any wonder that the culture of Lennar would affect the end users--homebuyers? They treat their people (construction staff, salespeople, sub contractors) badly and as a result, their customers get it in the end. I could go on and on for paragraphs, but I will choose to stop here---no need to spend any more of my wonderful day writing about such a company. Why am I having a wonderful day? Because I am no longer affiliated with them! Hooray!

I worked in the Sarasota division for the past 2 years, (IN SALES) and had to go on anti-depressants just to get through the day. It was a horrible experience, I was lied to when I was hired, about when I would get paid. I started in Aug. 2, 2004, and did not see a paycheck until Dec. 06. I could go on, but it would take forever. The week that I left, so did 6 other sales people. They have a very high turnover rate in sales and in construction. They hire 20 year old kids for construction, then send them to Lennar training for 6 weeks. I guess that is what you get!!

As a happy former employee of Lennar Homes New Jersey, I wish to say that the "Lennar Homes Culture" of TDH which stands for tickled, delighted and happy is anything but that. The managers harass employees with being WRITTEN UP for anything true or false and are continually threatening employees with write ups until they have enough to fire you. To work in fear of any kind of retribution, again true or false, is emotionally and mentally devastating. The employee has no recourse other than to go the human resource which is a sham. Sign me Happy to be an ex Lennar Homes employee.

I worked for Lennar for 6.5 years. When Lennar was US Home they actually cared (Somewhat) about the people who worked for them. Since Lennar took over they took the fun out of working/buying, they instilled fear in people. You had to learn these stupid poems that were meant to boost moral, and a bigger waste of money and time was the WOW meetings and Dr Suess stuff (are we adults?? or kids??). They drilled LENNAR TERMINOLOGY into the employees and you got into trouble when you said the wrong thing. They are not paying their contractors on time if at all, so in turn the customer gets a a really bad product. they even have a rule that if the bill is submitted late YOU WILL NOT GET PAID. also after the "layoffs" in '06 I still to this day have not received my last paycheck that I am fighting for. and as for HR HAHA , they are just people off the street with no working knowledge. DO NOT BUY FROM LENNAR OR WORK FOR THEM IN ANY WHICH WAY. They will rip you off and make YOU pay in the end.
Very true!

I walked into Lennar wondering why these people were gathered around, saying poems and talking about a Little red hen?! Every day i felt like I was getting reprimanded for something, one day I called my "Namebadge" a nameTAG, and a supervisior actually yelled at me! Another time, I was talking on the phone to a coworker, and said to meet me at the homesite, and was told by another coworker that that was not the right "lingo".
Personally, I think their whole company is a bunch of carp, and Im so glad to see that Im not the only one!

Thank you for your response.
Finding help with this dilemma has me feeling like I am trying to order a steak at a vegetarian restaurant. Poor analogy maybe, but I trust that you understand what I mean. I never realized that buying a new home could have such a negative impact on our lives. To add to this nightmare, ever since I wrote an email to the CEO of Lennar my work life has spiraled down hill. Oh, by the way I work for Lennar. A different division from the one that built our house however, it has been made quite clear that we are in the same family.
I believe that the answer is yes, we do have a mandatory binding arbitration clause in our contract. Not 100% sure but this is California and need I say more. We have learned that California's Senate Bill 800 ruling means nothing to Lennar since our request for plans and reports pertaining to our home was denied by the division president in writing (email).
I have started a Yahoo group ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Mare_Island/ ) and now I need to advertise/pass out some fliers to the neighbors in our community with hopes that we can pull together and make a difference. Yes, we will sign the HADD petition right away and I will also link your website on my Yahoo Group if that is acceptable.

Not only does Lennar instill fear in their employees by pressuring them to sell their defective homes, they use the same tactics on their own customers. If you purchase a Lennar home that is already completed (Spec house), you are expected to settle on that house within 30 to 45 days. If you don't settle when they say you will settle they use strong arm tactics like keeping your earnest money deposit and sell the house to someone else. Most particularly if it is the end of a quarter. Lennar doesn't care about its employees or their customers. All they care about is meeting their stupid sales quotas, which are derived from no statistical measures whatsoever. All they want to do is get rid of their standing inventory that they were so stupid in building in a down market. I agree with those who say that not only do you not want to buy a Lennar home; you don't want to work for these losers either. This is from another happy to be a former Lennar employee / associate!

Lennar Builds Crap - The only people Lennar is keeping on after xxxxcanning half of the staff is the customer service department. Trust me, I work in the department and it is a nightmare. Most of the homes are not near closing ready and rushed to market because of not having enough staff. At the closing you will be told that there is nothing to worry about and that everything will be handled at your 30 day walk. This is an excuse to close on the pile of dung. I really feel bad for these homeowners. The company is in shambles. The leadership is pretty much a bunch of ex crooks. Most of the people have high school diplomas in the higher up positions. No college at all. If you have any problems, I highly recommend contacting your local registry of contractors and have them do a courtesy inspection on your concerns. Do not waste your time trying to call the warranty department, they will blow you off and may contact you in about 2 to 3 weeks if your lucky.

Thank g-d, that phase of my life is over! I left Lennar last year when the beginning of the market decline was realized by the Managers. In my experience with this company, the way the Employees were treated by the Managers fell after the company decided to do business as Lennar instead of US Homes. The market decline brought out an abusive atmosphere that made working for this company impossible. Mico-Management on behalf of the tops of the company to the Division Presidents spiraled downward to the heads of departments to abuse of the construction, customer care, and sales staff. Rather than replace the Presidents who effectively couldn't manage a Division in a down market. The Divisions top management team had to explain their daily activities to their bosses morning and night each day.
They take their frustration out on the Department heads daily in plant meetings and the Department heads take their frustration out on the associates who report to them with nasty emails, write ups and constant mental abuse and often time's verbal abuse.
The contractors are given a sales pitch about how Lennar is going to increase their business they sign them on, and then refuse to pay them when problems occur during construction even when that contractor is not responsible. After the contractor hires employees to staff, the increase work load Lennar promises they squeeze the contractor so he can no longer afford to do business with this company. This causes a constant turn over in contractors, no loyalty and makes it impossible for the Construction Staff to supervise quality control.
The Customer Care Department is left with no recourse to have these contractors honor the warranty standards. This is causing many of the problems we are hearing about here on this website where customer's needs are not met. The customer Care Department is not made up of employees who know anything about construction most can't even understand the 2-10 warranty manual. As the market started to decline blue prints of the homes being built were changed to use inferior products from the past US Home Construction. A buyer would see a quality built model but their home was being built with inferior products. Of course every contract has a clause allowing the company to do this so the old saying "Buyer Beware" definitely applies. As a Lennar Employee in the current atmosphere if you know nothing about construction, can be abusive to other Associates and you are willing to work for peanuts. You will have a great Career with this company.

I just voluntary terminated my employment of 6 years with Lennar. I worked on the US Home side for the first half of my employment and Lennar for the second half. This is the worst company to work for! I was discriminated against for my age and because I have a child and over the course of my years there, they "hired" for at least 4 positions that were not publicly advertised. Equal Opportunity Employer? I don't think so! I can't even begin to express how badly they treat their employees / associates, and as mentioned several times before, their poor treatment carries into the quality of homes built as well. No matter what they say, they ARE building cookie cutter homes, and badly I might add! A few of us in my division made up a new slogan- SNAFU Homes- We Build It Right Because We Build It Twice!! Twice being the Customer Care side of course.

This is the first time ever seeing your website, and yes I am a past employee of Lennar's. I was with the company for 4 1/2 years, and I am very happy also not to be working with them. I was a customer care representative that did care about the homeowners and that became somewhat of a problem for Lennar. It's a horrible feeling when I promised to fix a problem, because I knew it was wrong and then told I was unable to fix it because it would cost Lennar money or well you can fix it, but we have to make someone liable for the repairs (the famous Backcharge) which they love to do. The original company I started with was bought out by Lennar, which was a great place to work and then the massive changes came from Lennar. They first tried to make it look like they cared so much about you and the homeowners, that changed quick.
When Lennar became full force I had seen people quit almost everyday, They are all about the numbers and that's it. This is to the people that read this. I am so sorry for what you are going through and I fully understand. There is and was employees that do care very much and I do know most of the trades that I had work with do care, but are hands where tied. I do ask please do not blame all the trades, Lennar has been trying to have them work for way less pay and the material Lennar wants to use is poor quality. I hope this website does make a difference and changes are made for the better.

I was a super for Lennar in the neighborhood Legends of Hutto when I was employed. The inspector then would pass inspections without even looking at homes. If he did fail something he would very rarely go back and look at it. All he would do is ask if you fixed it and then give you a green tag. I knew it was only a matter of time before this epidemic happened to those in the area.
I don't have proof but many Supers and Lennar associates in that subdivison experinced the same action from him. It would just be a matter of getting a hold of those supers to tell you the same story. I'll do what ever I can to help you. I was removed from that subdivison because I would not go along with the inspectors actions. I complained many times to Lennar and was told that we need him on our side, so we could get the homes completed on time. I was eventually moved to another Lennar neighborhood more than 50 miles from my home. When they couldn't get me to quit I was fired.
